Thread: Paternity leave

Where Rambo works they ask that you fill out a form stating the dates you would like PL to start and end. Is this usual? I'm not sure we could give them anything more than the EDD.

Legally, can he just take it as soon as baby arrives and give them this as a rough estimate or is it like booking a holiday for some companies? Confused!

We've never taken it as couldn't afford to but my understanding is it's an estimate. I mean, how else could you be specific?! They'll obviously know that... best to check with line manager though.

Scott gets asked for an EDD and they know it is just an estimate. I imagine it is the same for all places. It definitely wasnt a problem with Hunter, he would have been back at work by the time hunter was born if he had been off from the EDD

Ah good, I had this horrible feeling I'd be on my own with a newborn and toddler from day one!
