Help please...
S had some really good feeds this morning but all afternoon i've had no luck. she acts like she wants to feed, but as soon as i get her into the feeding position, never mind get her latched, she falls asleep and doesn't want to know.
She has done several meconium nappies but only one tiny wet one. got the mw coming tomorrow and i'm terrified they'll me to FF.

Firstly, they can say what they like but at the end of the day, it's only advice and it's down to you whether or not you take it.
Chances are, she's just really sleepy after the delivery - babies will often be extremely sleepy for the first 48hrs. The fact that you've had some good feeds from her is REALLY encouraging so don't loose faith honey - you're doing GOOD!!!
As for her sleepiness, at this stage I wouldn't personally be worried and would follow her lead. Things to try to get her more interested would be to strip her off to bare skin and have her on your naked chest and let her sleep like that if she likes. Changing nappies will often result in a little more awake time too. One thing I say to all my pregnant mum friends (and those that show up to group) is to get a decent support network in place immediately. Call your midwife/HV tomorrow and find out if/where your local breastfeeding support group is. You'd be welcome at mine but it's a way for you to travel. We do have a registered IBCLC in attendance at every session though so it's something to bear in mind if you have trouble locally.
Check out to see if you have any local Le Leche League groups - it may be (and almost certainly will be) that she'll sort herself out in the next day or two. Babies like to lull us into a false sense of security, going ages between feeds before they realise they want FOOD and NOW!!! Mae was going 4hrs between feeds for the first week and then boy did I regret worrying about it lol!
At this stage, there is absolutely NO need to use formula. Her tummy is the size of a hazlenut and she should be consuming 30-50ml PER DAY! That's until your milk comes in. If you are really worried, express a little off, (bear in mind that a feed at this stage should consist of 5-10ml - that's the entire feed!) and feed it to her with a medicine syringe. She doesn't really need to be awake for that if you give it to her slowly. It shouldn't be necessary but if it sets your mind at ease, then you go for it honey!
I'm inclined to think this will likely sort itself out as she wakes up from her coming Earth side journey recovery. If it doesn't and you continue to be worried, get right back on to us!

Thank you so much. I just got her to feed for about 20 mins, I had to blow on her cheek every 5ish sucks to keep her awake but she was showing all the signs of being on properly that the MW told me today. She seems happy and satisfied too, she's awake now with OH and just looking around and making funny faces

What a stupid time to have a boob group! Get them both dressed the night before and just pretend they didn't sleep in their clothes

Our boob group is 10am and it's a 30 min drive away, I thought that was bad enough but 9am
Enjoy those lovely newborn evening snuggles, Jasper has just started going to bed a few hours before we do and I miss my toddler-free evenings with him so much. I loved our time pinned to the sofa feeding for hours on end
