Line or no line I'm very late

Ok I have missed 2 periods now n this is the test today, doc said test every 3 days. I had an ectopic 7 months ago n lost my right tube. Also my family have a history of not showing positive on tests until 11 - 12 weeks

I cant see one though i am on my phone. Family history doesnt mean much for this sort of thing. Even personal history doesnt. You may get a positive a week before your period is due for one pregnancy. And maybe not get a positive til a week late on another. Why does the doc want you testing at home so often? Has he not done a blood pregnancy test? Missing 2 periods would make you a minimum of 8 weeks. The doc would be able to test your blood and get an answer. When was your last period? Are you having any symptoms?

I can't see anything and I'm usually pretty good at seeing faint lines. Having said that, my first positive with Mae (DD2) was so faint that the line didn't show up on any photo! Wait two days and test again

I don't see it tbh though I'm a rubbish line-spotter anyway, but am I right in saying it doesn't sound like you see a line in real life anyway? Or have I got that wrong? Either way if 2 missed periods is unusual for you I'd be asking the doctor for a blood test, I can't understand why he's telling you to keep testing every 3 days (wasteful!) when he could confirm with blood work.

My docs are crap and uncaring. This is what happened to me when I was ectopic no bfp at all even at 11 weeks the docs didn't been test me n said it was just one of them things and o was just over reacting. Then I got a measly sorry when i ruptured.

Do you have an early pregnancy unit at your hospital? We do and are able to drop in if you're experiencing problems - no appointment necessary. I personally would do that - with your history of ectopic I wouldn't take no for an answer!! Either that or ask to see a different Gp at your clinic and don't leave till they take blood. As far as I know they can spot poss ectopics with the hormone levels etc and if you are 8 weeks then a scan would show where the pregnancy is..... Good luck - everything crossed for you xx

My last period was the 10th of september an no not a single symptom. The doc said Somethin about hormone doubling evey three day may not have meant to test every three days I just gave up listening to him. I go in with questions and come out with no answers x

that would make you over 11 weeks now. They really need to get your blood done and get you scanned (to see if there are any visible issues or a baby). Definitely don't take NO for an answer hun
