Fertility friend?
So (like a lot on here I think
) I've been popping in and out of the TTC thread when it appears on the latest posts bar, and seen a couple of you talking about FF. I temped when TTC Zoe, only for one month and fell pregnant
but the geek in me loved it, I really liked getting to know my body! I saw a pattern in my chart (even though it was only that month, and it was a month with a pregnancy so maybe hard to see anything
) and thought I could see where I'd ovulated, thought I saw an implantation dip and then it just kept rising.
Sooooooooo we're technically NTNP, but I thought if we do move to dedicated TTCing (possibly soon) then I'd like to chart again, and thought electronic charting would be so much easier than plotting it all myself
So I thought I'd plug all the info I had from that month TTC Zoe into FF to see if it came up with the same conclusions as me............ it has come up with a load of crap! basically it says I ovulated on or around day 21, rubbish as we hadn't had sex for 7 or 8 days at that point, and my chart was already starting to creep up after what I would say was a clear pre-ov dip at day 11 and subsequent spike, then what I thought was an implantation dip at day 16 (only 4 DPO though). *ETA now that I've plotted it all out with the symptoms, I see another dip associated with a day of cramps, day 22 / 9 or 10 DPO
All my fertility signs support my interpretation of the chart, I've documented EWCM on day 12 - the day of/following the dip in my temp, and I was already having sore BBs and fatigue/dizziness by day 18/19 so I highly doubt that was when I ovulated
Anyway, I just don't want to start using FF if its going to give me a load of rubbish every month, if we do end up actively TTC I just think it would be stressful enough without this confusion! Has anyone had success with using FF's predictions, or do you just interpret the chart yourself?Last edited by Amethyst; 25-11-2011 at 02:10 PM.

I used FF when TTC Jake. It took a couple of months to get the data in and record the signs properly. I paid for 6 months of the advanced version, where it gives you a score, based on your fertility signs. I corresponds to how likely you are to get pregnant. The month I fell pg with Jake, I had a score of 91.
BUT, I didn't temp. I used OPKs and recorded any symptoms. I know others have said that the temping is very accurate, but I can't say for definite.Tanya, Bella & Jake

I can't see it either.
I used it for a month or two before we actively tried, then got pregnant first month so either it worked or we were just lucky. I wasn't temping or anything though so I don't know if what FF said would have agreed with what I thought.
