i think I'll need to speak to the Dr my DH sees, he happens to be the DH of our local BF counsellor and is v supportive of all things natural (childbirth, BF'ing, co-sleeping etc) and has a big family himself so I think he'd understand. He's unfortunately really tricky to get an appt with and I'd have to do it without telling my DH as I wouldn't want to overly stress him

Is everyone taking folic acid? I started today when I saw the bottle sitting around!
I don't know *much* about cervical positioning because I am new to it but it seems fairly simple. When you arent ovulating it is low. You check with your finger and you shouldnt need to go too far in and you will feel a sort of hard lump toward the back. Then as you get closer to ovulating, it is further uop and harder to reach and the lump is softer. It gets lower and firmer again after you ovulate.
Fingers crossed you caught this month jo. If not, I hope the doc can have some answers for you

i have the higher dose from last time because I have a high BMI. It was a new policy. My MW had just received the letter the morning of my booking in appointment saying that high BMI patients get the higher dose. But I had been taking the regular dose from BFP til then which is when it counted so it luckily made no difference. But I found out while I was pregnant that the 2 weeks after conception before you find out can be critical for their spine so I vowed then to take folic acid the next time. I have quite a few left over of the higher dose. But if it takes a while to TTC, can I get them prescribed again as I am TTCing or would I need to just take the regular dose? I reckon that I will just take folic acid from the middle of my cycle til AF so i dont run out too soon.

i have a stash already but i get free scripts with hyperthyroidism (i could always post you a few if you start to run low)

i found it takes a full cycle of checking cm/cp to understand what is high/low etc for you. after that is gets easier just remember things that can affect the position ie needing a poo a full bowel can lower the cp, and also after dtd your cm can be different up to 24 hours after.Part Time Working Mummy praying for another bump!

Well it is only the first month of TTC so I bet he won't be so easily persuaded in a few months time!
