Thread: buying and selling error

The rules in general buying and selling say you shouldn't be able to use it with less than 250 posts. I only have 130 or something... Just thought I should let someone know

Interesting, thanks! The rules say that you can't SELL without 250 posts and a month's membership, not sure if that applies to buying too @Elle/@Rambo? If it doesn't, the rules probably need tweaking cos they say to let admin know if you can see the section.

I'll have a look at that this evening when I can get on the pc, the cloth nappy section is a free for all though so the rules don't apply there. It used to be in a different forum so the rules will need to be amended. X

@Elle why are there no restrictions on buying and selling nappies? Personally I wouldn't buy from someone who only uses this TBJ for selling nappies and make no other contribution as I'd like to know whoever I buy from is an established member so there are less likely to be problems.

Initially it was because we all knew each other when we started the forum and cloth buy/sell was in a different forum. However I do think some restrictions might be wise now that the forum is well established.

What's the general consensus?

i think so @Elle because i have seen one or 2 members here (i won't name names) use this for buying and selling only. Kinda like how I use CNT, i buy/sell but i never use the forums. Though with CNT having a full classifieds section i think that is accepted practise there. Here, we are a small community and even people we know on here have turned out dodgy so some rules are best i believe. So I kinda dislike seeing the members names turn up only in buy/sell and never anywhere else. I feel used

thinks there should be some restrictions but also think its up to the individual to decide if they want to buy off someone. that said I also think a minimum post restriction would give time for people to get to know that person better so could weigh the risks involved better iykwim

would it be viable to have a sellers credit score??? so if you buy off some one you could rate them???
