Thread: Anyone want to help plan my wedding?

Wanting to book it for the 25th September 2013. Can't actually book anything till after the expense that is christmas is over with.
I would love somewhere outdoors with a big gazebo type thing to keep us dry and a bouncy castle to keep the littles occupied. I want the 'meal' to be a bbq and a byob for people.
I would like the option of ging inside too though if the weather isnt great.
I dont want it to be big and fancy just fun.
I would like a very simple dress, I'm even considering going for baby pink instead of white as I just love pink too much and I look horrible in white.
We were thinking of Shanes dad being the best man and my mum being the maid of honour, although that goes totally against tradition but my mums the person I'm closest to.

Feel free to throw ideas and opinions at me. It's all just ideas atm.

Making your own invites can be fun, ours were fairly simple but looked great. We had a pile of good ones and a pile that was for the slightly wonky ones - our mates got those ones

As for venue, have you looked at sports and social clubs? Or village hall type places. Most will run the bar for you and you can do whatever you want in terms of decorations and food.

I love the idea of your mum being maid of honour! My dad died when I was 18 so my big brother gave me away

have you searched for nearby farms that do weddings?

Never even thought of a farm wedding! I dont even know of any farms around here lol.
