I'll have a good look tomorrow but I don't think he's got anything like that. He's a bigger for letting me look in his mouth though
I took a few brewers yeast tablets a couple of weeks ago to boost my supply a bit & I'll be so annoyed if they've caused all the difficulties we've had in the last fortnight :/

I don't think brewers yeast would cause that kind of tummy upset
Remember only minuscule amounts of what you eat end up in your BM so it is highly unlikely that it would cause that severe a reaction.
I remember Em had an awful tummy bug then a week later got another one cause he was so run down.
It could also be some kind of nursing strike?
Defo try feeding him when he's half asleep and keep on offering EBM in a beaker I really do hope it'll get better soon

Elle said Molly was similar when she had a bad bug. Its so rubbish when they're sick
Mez took him for a drive & after an hour of crying he fell asleep. He woke up after half an hour & I quickly got him latched on for a feed, which worked I'll encourage him to feed as much as I can in the night & just hope that he's alright tomorrow. I'll give his mouth a really good check for teeth/thrush anything else weird too.

Thanks all of you ladies its SO reassuring to have you all here

Well yesterday was a bit better. I was quite strict & I think only fed him 4 times including breakfast/bedtime feeds. We were out all day & he spent a while in the pushchair which made it much easier. The feeds he did have, he either didn't bite at all or nipped right at the end despite my careful watching. The night was horrible though. He woke up loads and I'd try to settle him by just rocking him which took nearly 3 hours at one point. Mez was to ill to help (but well enough to smoke a joint and eat loads of chocolate) and then when I did let him feed he'd bite at the end of each one. It was much harder to be vigilant when I was half asleep. At one point he nursed for 75minutes, crying if I tried to unlatch him, and bit SO hard when he came off. Id fallen asleep by then so it was a bit of a shock. I've woken up this morning with my top stuck my nipples because they've been bleeding and weeping in the night. They look hideous, and they're SO sore despite the constant lanolising :'(
I checked him yesterday & there's no sign of thrush or teething. My plan today is to constantly offer food, keep him occupied and back wrap him for naps in the hope that we can get through to bedtime without too much trauma. Mez is back at work today so I'll have no 'help' with bedtime or to keep me calm. The engorgement is horrible too, even hand expressing is agony :sob:

Mum & Mez have both said he's only biting because he wants proper food and that this is my sign to stop feeding. Mum said at bedtime to just give him a bottle of formula & leave him in his cot til he goes to sleep I do really want us to get through this & I don't want to wean but I'm not sure how much more I can take

Have you looked at Jay Gordon's night weaning method?
I'm on my phone so can't link at the moment but rather than giving up night feeds altogether you don't feed for a certain amount of time, 11pm-5am for example. It's not ideal as Alfie is still a bit young but breast feeding is a relationship and you need to do what's best for YOU and your poor nips at the moment

I'll look it up today if I get chance thanks lovely I agree that he's a bit young for night weaning but if this doesn't pass in a few days I'm going o have to do something. It's really damaging our relationship at the minute - he's frustrated that his demands for milk aren't being met and is being quite violent about it and I'm obviously terrified of going near him, drained and in massive amounts of pain :'(

I think my right boob might be getting infected :/ it's weeping pus & smells a bit, along with the constant hideous pain :/

I gave him milk in a bottle a little while ago & he kept clamping onto the teat & pulling his teeth along it. Maybe it is teething? I don't know anymore

      Right boob needs some TLC
How deep is the wound? If it's deep I'd try and gently wash it out with salt water, if it's more like a graze then I'd get some antiseptic stuff and clean it out. Breast milk also helps. Keep on expressing and try to go topless for a bit.
Has Alfie had his molars yet?

Its quite deep I think, like a little crater.I'll try all that once he's gone to bed, he's just spent the last hour besides himself absolutely thrashing around screaming & refusing to let me touch him :/ he got his molars while we were in Wales. I'm wondering if it's his pointy ones at the top, he's doing lots of chewing his fingers & keeps putting his hands to his mouth when he cries. He did let me give him some Calpol about 45 minutes ago do fingers crossed he'll crash soon & have a nice sleepy feed :/
