Thread: I'm engaged

Hello!

We got engaged a month or do a go. No immediate plans to get married as we are skint but love talking weddings and throwing ideas around!!

Congrats! We've been engaged since before I was pregnant with our first! we'd love to get married but don't want a wedding so it's tricky!

Congratulations ! I got engaged in December 2007 Married May 2009 but we didn't start to plan the wedding in till we had moved over seas in September of 2008.

The type of wedding I 'want' we can't afford, but I'm actually enjoying looking up alternative cheaper ways of doing it we're lucky that my OH works in the print trade so we'll get the save the date/invites/table plan etc done very cheap and I've run a wedding fair so I hope my contacts will be willing to give some discounts etc.

ive been engaged since christmas 09! We wanted to get married this year but had baby moo instead! Maybe next year!

Congratulations, exciting times.
We had a long engagement (2yrs) been married 7 years now though, and still remember our wedding like it was yesterday, it held so many special moments for us.

Keep it special though, I found a few of my friends got so consumed with the whole ceremony etc when they were actually married they found it don't last long at all. At the end of the day day your wedding is what you make it. Don't let anyone change your minds just because, the ceremony should be part of who you are, and any family, guests etc should appreciate that you have chosen to share it with them.
